Expert Witness Work

by on Dec.05, 2009, under Expert Witness

During my career I have been privileged to have had the best law enforcement training in the world.  For 14 of my 21+ years as an FBI Agent, I was a full-time instructor and cross-trained in firearms, defensive tactics, counter-sniper, swat, fitness, and ethics. At the same time I was a swat team member and sniper, serving for 5 years as the sniper team leader. I researched, developed and taught a course titled THE PSYCHOLOGY OF SURVIVAL  and took a personal interest in reaching out to and helping police officers who were affected by Post-traumatic stress.

Now I make myself available as an expert witness to testify in court in matters related to the use of force….particularly deadly force, police training and procedures, firearms and other police matters. If I can assist you or someone you know please get in touch with me. I love educating juries in the realities of police work and correcting false perceptions.

A new course offering

by on Nov.29, 2009, under THE PSYCHOLOGY OF SURVIVAL

For the very first time I am offering this course to select civilians (non-law enforcement or military) in a 20 hour format.  It consists of 8 hours of group class theory on the Psychology of Survival and Peak Performance, 8 hours of group practical on defensive tactics, firearms safety and defensive strategies for staying safe PLUS two hours of Individual firearms instruction (live fire) on the range with Master Police Instructor and retired FBI Special agent, Hugh Galyean.  Mr Galyean will also spend two hours evaluating your personal objective and write you a  training prescription on how to get to where you want to be.

This course will tell you why the mind and body respond the way it is designed to when it faces a critical incident and how to train to take advantage of the way you are designed. The information in this class is fascinating and applicable to ANYTHING you want to apply it to in your life….business, sports, performance of any kind. Plus it is a lot of fun.

If you are a first responder….law enforcement officer, fire fighter, or military and have been exposed to a critical incident, please share your story with us. We will learn from each other. In the meantime I will have some posts under “The Psychology of Survival” regarding this potentially debilitating disorder.
